Custom Team Uniform Size Chart: Soccer, Basketball, Polo, Half-Zip and Jacket (cm & inches)

Short answer: RUIJUN team uniforms are cut to the size charts below. For a typical adult male player of 180–185 cm (5’11″–6’1″) the right soccer or basketball jersey is a size M (chest 110 cm / 43″); our sizes run true to Asian/EU fit, which is about one size smaller than US sizing – a US “L” player usually takes our XL. Measure a jersey that already fits (chest flat across ×2 and body length), compare with the tables, and order a size-set sample for a first order. All charts are garment measurements in centimetres with a 1–3 cm tolerance.

How to measure

• Chest: lay a jersey that fits flat, measure across 2.5 cm below the armpit, then double it. Compare with the “Chest” row.
• Length: from the highest point of the shoulder (next to the collar) straight down to the hem.
• Waist (jersey): flat across the narrowest point, doubled. Hem: flat across the bottom edge, doubled.
• Shorts waist: flat across the relaxed elastic waistband, doubled – shorts stretch 10–15 cm beyond this.
• Shorts length: from the top of the waistband to the hem, along the side.
• Height / weight: use the recommended rows as a starting point when you cannot measure a garment.

To convert to inches, divide by 2.54 (110 cm = 43.3″). Game jerseys are a regular athletic fit; if your players prefer a loose fit, go one size up.

The women’s cut is shaped at the waist and starts at M (equivalent to a US women’s S). Women’s teams that prefer a straight fit can order the men/unisex chart in XS–S instead.

Basketball jerseys are cut 4 cm wider in the chest and 3 cm longer than soccer jerseys of the same size, and basketball shorts are knee-length (about 9 cm longer than soccer shorts).

Raglan sleeve length is measured from the centre back neck to the cuff. Jackets are cut to be worn over a jersey; there is no need to size up.

These are approximate – brands differ. The safe approach is to ignore the letter and match the chest and length in centimetres. US clubs usually order one size up from their usual letter; UK and EU clubs order the same letter.

Youth sizes

Youth soccer and basketball uniforms are available from about age 6 (height 120 cm) up to youth XL (height 165 cm), graded in 5–10 cm height steps. Ask for the youth chart with your quote – we send it as a spreadsheet you can hand to parents.

Custom sizing

Because every order is made from scratch, we can adjust the standard chart: longer body for tall squads, wider cut for goalkeepers and rugby, tapered fit for a brand line, or an extra size beyond 6XL. There is no charge for adjusting length or width across the whole order; individual player-specific alterations are quoted case by case.

FAQ

How do I collect sizes from a team? Order a size-set sample (one jersey per size), let players try them on at training, and record the letter each player picks. It costs the sample price, which is credited on the bulk order, and removes almost all sizing complaints. See how to order step by step.

Are your sizes US or Asian? Asian/EU fit. A US M usually takes our L; a US L takes our XL.

Do sublimated jerseys shrink? No. Polyester is heat-set before printing; wash-shrinkage is under 3 %.

Can we mix sizes in one order? Yes – any mix of sizes within the 10-piece MOQ per style, and men’s, women’s and youth cuts of the same design count as one style for the mockup.

What if a player’s size is wrong after delivery? Factory errors against the approved size list are remade free. If the player simply picked the wrong size, we make replacement pieces at the single-piece price.
