Fabric: mesh or interlock?

Basketball is played indoors at high intensity, so breathability usually wins. Our default is bird-eye mesh at 160–180 gsm: small perforations move air and sweat, the fabric is light, and the knit still prints sharply enough for numbers and crests. Choose interlock instead when the design has photographic gradients, fine sponsor text or very dark colours that need maximum print depth, or for reversible jerseys where two mesh layers would be too see-through. Shorts

Basketball shorts are cut to the knee – about 9 cm longer than soccer shorts at the same size – with a 5 cm elastic waistband and internal drawcord. Options that are included in the price: side panels in a contrast colour, sublimated leg numbers, and a curved or straight hem. Options that add a small charge: side pockets (popular for rec leagues and coaches), a zip pocket, and a mesh liner. Numbers and league rules

Most leagues require numbers on front and back with minimum heights – for example FIBA specifies at least 20 cm on the back and 10 cm on the front, and many US high-school and AAU rules follow similar figures. Tell us your league and we lay the numbers out to its specification; with sublimation the size makes no difference to cost. Design considerations specific to basketball

• Armholes and straps: racerback straps show more of the shoulder and suit modern designs; wide straps carry sponsor logos better. Both are the same price.
• Side panels: the classic place for a contrast colour or a pattern that runs jersey into shorts – we align the print across both garments.
• Reversible design: keep both sides simple (one main colour each, numbers in contrast) because the two layers are sewn together and cannot be printed with different complex panels without cost.
• Collar and binding: a contrast binding round the neck and armholes is included; a V-neck or a “notch” collar is a pattern option at no extra cost.
• Sponsor placement: upper back, front waist and shorts leg are the usual areas that stay clear of numbers.

Sizing

Basketball players run tall, so our basketball chart goes to 6XL (height up to 220 cm) and is cut 4 cm wider in the chest and 3 cm longer than our soccer jersey at the same size letter. Sizes are Asian/EU fit – US teams normally order one letter up. For a first order we recommend a size-set sample; for a re-order the sizes are on file.

Care and durability

Sublimated mesh jerseys are machine-washable at 30–40 °C, should not be tumble-dried hot, and keep their colour for the life of the garment because the dye is inside the fibre (SGS colour-fastness grade 4–5). Reversible jerseys take slightly longer to dry because of the double layer.
