Youth and School Team Uniforms: Sizes, Prices and How to Order for a Class or Squad

Published September 28, 2026 · by Amy, Sales Manager

Short answer: youth and school team uniforms from RUIJUN cost US$4.90 for a sublimated jersey, US$2.10 for shorts and US$10.20 for a full soccer kit (ex-factory, names and numbers included); basketball youth sets are US$7.90. Minimum is 10 per style with mixed sizes, youth sizes run from about 120 cm height (age 6–7) up to adult XS, and a school order typically takes 4–6 weeks including a sample. Below is how to collect sizes from a class or squad, how to handle growth and hand-me-downs, what schools and youth clubs order most, and how the payment and invoicing side works for a school.

Youth prices

Item (youth) Price Adult for comparison
Soccer jersey US$4.90 US$5.60
Soccer shorts US$2.10 US$2.50
Soccer kit (jersey + shorts + socks) US$10.20 US$11.40
Basketball jersey / shorts / set US$4.60 / 3.20 / 7.90 US$5.20 / 3.80 / 9.00
Baseball jersey US$8.20 US$9.30
Track jacket / pants US$11.50 / from US$8.70 US$13.00 / from US$10.10

Youth prices apply to sizes below adult XS. A squad that mixes youth and adult sizes (common at U14–U16) is priced per piece by size on the same order; it is still one style for the 10-piece minimum.

Youth sizes

Our youth chart is by height: 120, 130, 140, 150 and 160 cm, roughly ages 6–7 up to 13–14, then adult XS/S. Each size gives chest, length and shorts length so a parent can measure at home. Two rules that save trouble on school orders:

  • Order by height, not by age. Children of the same age vary by two sizes; a height in centimetres is unambiguous.
  • Size up half a step for a kit that has to last two seasons. Sublimated fabric does not shrink, so a slightly loose kit stays that size.

The adult charts are on the size chart guide; we send the youth chart with every quote.

Collecting sizes from a class or club

  1. Send parents the height-based chart and a one-line form (name, height, size, number). A Google Form or a WhatsApp list both work.
  2. Set a firm cut-off date; late additions can be made as a top-up at the single-piece price.
  3. For a first order, ask for a size-set sample – one of each youth size – and let the children try them on at training. This costs the single-piece price per sample and is credited on the bulk order.
  4. Order 5–10 % spares in the middle sizes for new joiners and lost kits.

What youth clubs and schools order most

  • Numbered match kits – jersey, shorts, socks – with the squad numbers and optional names.
  • Reversible training bibs / pinnies for practice, no names, so they can be pooled.
  • School PE kit: polo (US$8.50) or plain sublimated tee, shorts, and a quarter-zip (US$11.00) for winter, with the school crest and house colours.
  • Tournament kits for a school trip or a summer camp – 20–40 kits in one colour, quick turnaround.
  • Coaches’ and parents’ polos or jackets in the club colours.

Reusable kits: names or numbers only?

Many youth clubs keep the kits and hand them down each season. In that case print numbers only (no names), order a spread of sizes, and add a printed size label inside the neck so the kit manager can sort them. Names can still be added later with heat-transfer letters if a team wants them. Clubs that sell kits to families usually print names; each family then owns its kit.

Safety, comfort and labels

  • All fabrics are 100 % polyester performance knits with SGS test reports for colour fastness; no metal parts on jerseys and shorts, and shorts use a soft covered elastic waistband with a drawcord.
  • Mesh fabrics for hot climates and indoor halls; interlock for cooler weather. Long-sleeved versions are +US$1.40.
  • Labels can be tagless (printed) to avoid itching; the school or club name can be printed inside the neck.

How schools usually pay

Schools and parents’ associations can pay by bank transfer (30 % deposit, balance before shipping), by PayPal for small orders, or through Alibaba Trade Assurance. We issue a pro-forma invoice with the school’s name and address for purchase-order approval, and a commercial invoice for customs. If a parent group collects money per family, we can quote a per-child price that includes shipping and duty (DDP) so the collected amount matches the bill. A budget of US$14–16 per child covers a full soccer kit delivered to the US, UK or Australia on an order of 30+ kits.

Timeline for a school season

Design 1 week (we draw the mockup from the crest and colours in 24–48 hours), size-set sample 2 weeks including shipping, bulk 2–3 weeks, express 1 week: about 6 weeks. Schools usually order in June–July for a September start, or 8 weeks before a tournament. Re-orders for new joiners take about 3 weeks. If the date is tight, see the rush order guide.

FAQ

Is there a minimum for youth kits? 10 per style, mixed sizes. A U10 squad of 12 is fine.

Can one order mix youth and adult sizes? Yes, on the same style; each piece is priced by its size.

Do you make girls’ cuts? Yes – a girls’ or women’s cut is available for jerseys and shorts at the same price.

Can parents order individually? Not from the factory; the club or school places one order and we can pack each kit by player name to make handing out easy.

What if a child grows out of the kit mid-season? Single replacement pieces in the same design are made at the single-piece price and shipped in about 3 weeks.

Send us the school crest, colours and a rough headcount through the contact page and we reply with a mockup and a per-child price. The full process is in how to order step by step.
